"It was a wonderful experience for our children and parents alike and we will certainly be using you again."
- Lisa Oakden (Headteacher) - Samuel Ryder Academy
"Bob and his team really engaged the children in not just how to do what they were showing them but also in where it came from, the history, who had taught him etc. The equipment was fantastic and the children loved being able to try everything out and have a go themselves. After they left the children were buzzing with excitement about what they had seen and done. We can't wait for them to come back and have a go all over again."
- Donald McGibbon (Headteacher) - Brecknock Primary School
"This is the best day of my life."

Letters From St Ippolyts Primary School Children
I am writing to say a big thank you for coming to our school my favourite was Tai Chi.
Jo took my breath away with the sword and amazed that she didn't hurt herself. I especially liked the dragon it was brilliant the dragon it looked awesome. Class 3 loved it. I also loved the martial arts, yours thankfully.
Max - Year 3
Thank you for coming to St.Ippolyts School we are truely thankful for teaching us Dragon Dancing, Tai Chi and Kung Fu. I did not realise how tricky it could be until I watched you. We hope you will come again.
Rhys Griffiths - Year 6
I am writing to say thank you for coming to St Ippolyts school for our Chinese arts days. Everyone loved Dragon dancing and Tai Chi. We especially liked the fan and sword dance. Most of us like to tai chi more but my friend and I liked the dragon dance better. Watching the large lions was fun because I didn't realise how hard it was and the colours were amazing it made me feel really excited as I was going to have me opportunity to take in a lion dance.
We do hope that you come and visit us again.
Lily Archer - year 3
I am writing to say thank you for coming to St Ippolyts on our Chinese art today. Thank you for all of your activities. I preferred the martial workshop.
One of your team members took my breath away with the swords. It was brilliant. I was amazed especially by the Dragon it was fantastic.
In the Dragon it looked cool Bailey and I loved it. .it was hard but relaxing I liked it when we had to hug the tree. My legs were aching.
Thank you for the fantastic two days I hope you come back with your team again. You could visit to see all the wonderful work in our main exhibition entrance.
Cruz - Year 3
The dragon dance was the best workshop and I loved it. Thank you for everything it was amazing. Kung fu was good and we were excited I really loved being able to go under the lion to take part in the lion dance.
We hope you did too. I would like to thank you for coming to St Ippolyts.
Holly - Year 2
Thank you for coming to St Ippolyts school. We really enjoyed Dragon dancing and the lion dance. We all liked it so much it was so fun. The sound of the drum was really loud. Tai Chi was really fun. All of the moves were brilliant all of it was good and fun so much. Thank you for everything. We really enjoyed all of it. Everyone thought it was great. All your teammates were awesome. The Dragon was quite hard to steer. It was really fun banging the Chinese drum.
Luke Gemmell - Year 2
I am writing to say how thankful myself and the rest of St Ippolyts school are for you and the team participating in our Chinese art days.
It was extremely incredible to experience Dragon and lion dancing and even some martial arts.
Your demonstrations were truly amazing loved by children of 4 years old to 11. I especially enjoyed dancing inside the Lions head and controlling the fantastic Dragon.
It was such a special event at our arts days, one I'm sure every child at St Ippolyts will never forget.
Laney L R - Year 6
Thank you so much for the workshops. My favourite out of both of them was the dragon dance. When I was inside the lion I loved opening and closing the eyes, particularly in the red lion. The dragon dancing in the red and blue lion was breathtaking. I loved it, I wish I could do it again.
The sword dance was amazing. I hope you do not get hurt whilst performing the sword. Is this dance performed only during Chinese New Year and how quick or slow does the teacher teach you at first?
The tai chi was graceful to watch and do. Bob you are amazing if you can do the hugging tree for 20 minutes I could hardly do it for 10 seconds you are really dedicated to this art form.
You may like to visit to see our Chinese exhibition. I hope you will come and visit our school.
Gemma Rose - Year 4
I am writing to you because I want to say how thankful St Ippolyts and I are for participating in our Chinese art days.
Tai chi and kung fu were both breathtaking, if I had to choose my favourite would be tai chi, because of the exercise that keeps us healthy, Jo was brilliant when she did her demonstration with the sword and fan everyone loved it.
My whole class loved the lion and Dragon dance, the one thing I loved is when we got into pairs and danced in the lion dance.
The costumes were stunning and stunning and colourful and must of taken a lot of time to make them.
Joshua - Year 5
Thank you truly for coming in for our arts days. You and your team were breathtaking. I loved all the workshops. The bit I especially liked was dancing in the dragon.
I also really liked watching the sword dance. It must have taken time to master the switching of both sword and fan. The music made it more dramatic.
Tai chi is quite a skilful form of martial arts. It wasn't easy at first but with time I would be able to do a bit more. It is good to keep fit.
My favourite was martial arts.
I hope you can visit our school again.
Thank you once more for an enjoyable and memorable experience.
